Director of Music

Adult Choir

Adult Choir Director – Colleen Ritter

Our adult choir meets for rehearsal the two Thursday evenings before the second Sunday of each month at 7PM in the church library. The choir sings on the second Sunday of each month, and the selections are always connected to the scripture and sermon topic or theme. Our season runs September – May and often features guest instrumentalists, in addition to piano/organ accompaniment. We presently have 25 to 30 choir members, ranging in age from 18 – retirement. We use a variety of SATB repertoire, so reading music is very helpful, though not necessary. For more information, please contact Colleen Ritter. All are welcome.

Praise & Worship Team

Praise & Worship Team Leader – Jess Hetrick

Our Praise Team’s mission is to lead the congregation in genuine and wholehearted praise/worship through music.

Our Purpose… Our primary purpose is to give God the glory, honor and praise He deserves. We will lead by example. We will enter into authentic, wholehearted worship to God ourselves, celebrating and acknowledging God’s love, mercy and grace. Our voices, instruments, and manner will serve as a faith-inspiring, compelling and warm invitation for others to join in worshipping Our Lord and Savior. The Lord desires His people to be focused on Him, experiencing Him, and responding to Him.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship.”

Romans 12:1

Our Vision… We are a ministry committed to continue learning how to lead others into worship, by living a life of truth & faith, through our calling, our gifts & talents, and our character as we worship the Lord. Each week we are guiding people to flourish and mature as worshippers. This requires not only singing truthful songs, but also teaching others why and how we worship God.

The praise team is made up of about 10 members, plus a few others when they are available, that rotate during the month to help lead worship during Sunday services. On the first and third Sunday’s of the month, we offer “Pre-Worship”. This is a time where we lead a few songs before the service to help the congregation to just focus their hearts and minds on God and the service ahead. We focus on more contemporary music, but we do mix in hymns when they fit with the theme of the service. For more information or to participate in the praise and worship team, please contact Jess Hetrick.
