Do you or your kids worry about having a place to “fit in”? Do you want your kids to be a part of something truly incredible? ROCK youth group could be the answer. ROCK is our youth group made up of small friendship groups for children from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Everyone is welcome, you do not need to belong to PUMC or any church for that matter.

We meet every other Wednesdays of the month beginning in September and ending in May. Check out our most recent bulletin to see the next ROCK meeting date. Join us at 6:00PM for our “Grab-A-Bite”. This small meal is provided for the entire family. Then at 6:30PM we separate into our small groups for the evening session. The sessions are designed by the leaders to help engage the children into a deeper relationship with God and each other. Small groups wrap up around 8PM. Children Kindergarten through 3rd grade can be picked up anytime between 7 and 8PM.
What do the parents do?
Each week of Rock, there is a class offered for parents and anyone else who would like to attend. We discuss the Bible and how we can understand it and use it. We usually meet in the fellowship hall at 6:30PM.

Additional activities and events include: camping at Wesley Forest every fall, Progressive Meal around Paxtonville at Christmas, IMPACT – Youth Conference, Mission Trips and much more. Our mission is building relationships with one another and then helping each other build a relationship with Jesus Christ. The leaders at PUMC have been in awe of what God is doing in this youth ministry. We see youth who genuinely want to come to youth group. Youth who long to learn and dig deeper into the word of God.

Youth for me wasn’t a single big moment that opened my eyes to “the light” and immediately changed my life. Youth group was one quiet “God Moment” after another, mixed with fun. Two years after I graduated, I realized that it laid the path from my role as a Christian.”
