The Service of Prayer and Testimony is a low-key, informal gathering in Paxtonville United Methodist Church’s prayer chapel. The standard flow includes reading a Psalm together, having an open time where anyone can share where they’ve seen God in their lives over the past week, a group prayer led by the pastor, a brief reflection, and closing with silent prayer. Pastor Ryan keeps a bottle of anointing oil in case anyone would like to be blessed or anointed for physical, emotional, or spiritual healing. The service runs about 20 minutes. We usually gather after the service in the Fellowship Hall for refreshments before the Sunday school hour.
